Snakes and monkeys

"We are just about to kill the monkeys, they eat our crops", a young boy replied when we asked if he knew where the monkeys were hiding. He would postpone the assassination for tomorrow and show us a good spot, he said. Mari and i were not really prepared for a bush-safari. The oinly thing we knew where that our colleague Josh would take us to a beautiful place some few kilometers down the path, where the pupils went last weekend. Apparently health and safety regulations for primary school pupils here are not very strict. Bended down to avoyd the spines from the shred Mari asked me if I thought there were any chance to run into a snake. Let's ask Josh I suggested. He dindn't really know but thought it might be too cold for snakes here. "Too cold" has never in my life been so hot and I wished for the snakes to have a completely different sense of temperature.
